A-Line was founded in the
World Cup winning year of 1966.
A family run operation from the start, Brian
Haywood and brother in-law Kevin Prosser
set up A-Line as a small Taxi
company serving the expanding city of Coventry.
We've come a long way
since then, to become one of the best-known coach operators in
Warwickshire.
Leaving Taxi operation behind us, we have expanded both through
carefully planned organic growth,
and through the acquisition of DeLuxe of
Mancetter and Abbey Coachways of Sutton Coldfield. |
Today we operate a fleet of around 30
modern vehicles on a wide mix of work, from local buses to executive coach
hire.
We operate a large number of School Buses on behalf of Warwickshire
County Council, as well as
wheelchair accessible vehicles on 'Flexibus' services designed to meet
the needs of those with mobility difficulties.
Our service buses certainly have changed a little over the years!
Our local service portfolio includes free shoppers services,
event day services to the Ricoh Arena,
'Route 101' and 'CountyLinks 735'
services connecting surrounding villages with Coventry, as well as 'theNumber
10' between Bell Green
and the City Centre, and the X77 and X88 Summer Holiday services
to Drayton Manor and Twycross Zoo.

Coach hire customers range from schools and colleges, to
community groups, families,
and multi-national corporations such as E-On, Alstom, and HSBC.
We are a Preferred Transport Provider for the Ricoh Arena,
home of Coventry City FC
and the IEC International Events Centre, where we proudly operate
prestigious
Park & Ride services for events at the Arena, including 'Sky Blue Express' services.
With
a base just 20 minutes from
Birmingham International Airport,
we are ideally situated to provide airport
transfers,
both for pre-booked groups and last-minute flight
diversions.
